Lie Detecting Robot

John was a salesman’s delight when it came to any kind of unusual gimmick. His wife Marsha had long ago given up trying to get him to change.

One day John came home with another one of his unusual purchases. It was a robot that John claimed was actually a lie detector.
It was about 5:30 that afternoon when Tommy, their 11 year old son, returned home from school. Tommy was over 2 hours late.
‘Where have you been? Why are you over 2 hours late getting home?’ asked John.
‘Several of us went to the library to work on an extra credit project,’ said Tommy.
The robot then walked around the table and slapped Tommy, knocking him completely out of his chair.
‘Son,’ said John, ‘this robot is a lie detector, now tell us where you really were after school.’
‘We went to Bobby’s house and watched a movie.’ said Tommy.
‘What did you watch?’ asked Marsha.
‘The Ten Commandments.’ answered Tommy.
The robot went around to Tommy and once again slapped him, knocking him off his chair once more.
With his lip quivering, Tommy got up, sat down and said, ‘I am sorry I lied. We really watched a tape called Sex Queen.’
‘I am ashamed of you son,’ said John.
‘When I was your age, I never lied to my parents.’
The robot then walked around to John and delivered a whack that nearly knocked him out of his chair.
Marsha doubled over in laughter, almost in tears and said ,‘Boy, did you ever ask for that one !
You can’t be too mad with Tommy, After all, he is your son !!!’
With that the robot immediately walked around to Marsha and knocked her out of her chair !!!.

Here is your “Arghhh….there is no such thing as a free gift, especially if it’s from your cat. My feline friend, Dante, is an excellent hunter of birds and mice, and thinks that it’s a great idea to bring ‘em home as an offering to me. Other than the fact that they’re usually still alive, and in the case of mice I have to put my slippers to good use, I never gave it much thought….until this past week. Under the fur and feathers of those wild creatures are fleas, and when they realize their current hosts days are numbered they jump ship and go for a ride on my cat…no problem except they seem to like my blood better than his. I’d rather be bitten by 1000 mosquitoes than one flea, the bites itch for days…thus I’m off to either the vet or PetSmart to get some Advantage. CHEZ Lovers!..OMG!..got some sad news from the culinary world.

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children: John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

What a sad day – first I found out that a shipmate of mine passed away in PEI on 24 August (at age 52) and kitten’s cousin passed away in Burlington this morning (at age 56).

pharmer…i notice kemptville shows 8 tonight….and ottawa is 5 or 6….so strange ||!!

out of city is usually 5-8 degrees lower….so that is my concern…

i had 10 tarps to put out…90 percent coverage except for about 4000 beans….but the low temp wont last long enough to freeze the beans…just kill the plants….and that gives me 24 to 48 hrs to rescue beans off the plants….

your seed stock is not affected…they are dead on the plant already

@ Eco .. CM told me once that someone asked him to stop posting nudie pics because if they were caught looking at porn on the job it was grounds for immediate dismissal. This I can understand. Lets not get any one fired.
@ hummer…you should snerf back a month or so ago for the totally excitable posts by CM when someone told him to tone it down…there was sexism, racism, homophobia, and outright door slamming after that. I was just a lurker then but I still chose to come out and play. You take what is here and skip over what you don’t like(sometimes hard to do when it is staring you in the face) I think Phil said it best……
