    Every morning when they call out the 7:10 name my radio goes all static, I am actually quite good at spelling but have noticed on more than one occassion I have misheard the last name?

    My heart sank as I read the spam that began, “By opening this e-mail, you have activated the Amish computer virus.”
    Then I realized that not only was my computer in jeopardy, so was my reputation as it continued, “Since the Amish don’t have computers, this works on the honor system. Please delete all your files. Thank you.”

    @Critic -I remember a few years ago CHEZ sent me an email lashing that I was using codes from a site that were bogus and I could get disqualified…  and I wouldn’t want that to happen…not that I have EVER won anthing :o)

    1. Compaq is considering changing the command “Press Any Key” to “Press Return Key” because of the flood of calls asking where the “Any” key is.

    2. AST technical support had a caller complaining that her mouse was hard to control with the dust cover on. The cover turned out to be the plastic bag the mouse was packaged in.
    .
    3. Another Dell customer called to say he couldn’t get his computer to fax anything. After 40 minutes of troubleshooting, the technician discovered the man was trying to fax a piece of paper by holding it in front of the monitor screen and hitting the “Send” key.
    .                                                                 
    4. Yet another Dell customer called to complain that his keyboard no longer worked. He had cleaned it by filling up his bathtub with soap and water and soaking the keyboard for a day, then removing all the keys and washing them individually.
    .
    5. A Dell technician received a call from a customer who was enraged because his computer had told him he was “Bad and an invalid.” The tech explained that the computer’s “bad command” and “invalid” responses shouldn’t be taken personally.
    .                                                                
    6. A confused caller to IBM was having trouble printing documents. He told the technician that the computer had said it “couldn’t find printer.” The user had also tried turning the computer screen to face the printer-but that his computer still couldn’t “see” the printer.

    @ ROKPIG:  That’s quite a name you have there.  The M&G is NEXT friday, March 19th. at the Vanier Legion, 294 Cyr Avenue in Vanier at 8:00 p.m.  See the details under ICAL above on the side bar just under the heading of RADIOWALL.  This is actually a musical GIG my husband’s band is having that has taken on a life of its own as a meet and greet.  Tickets are 10.00 at the door, but anyone attending will be given a FREE CD, their first one entitled TIME and CHANCE.  There will be lots of door prizes too.  This is a dance party and the band will be playing all of their original songs from their two CD’s as well as alot of the old tunes we all know and love.  Reserved tables at the front of the hall for the Chez 106 gang.  There will be lots of people there to meet and we are hoping Mr. RED will find his future MRS. RED.  lol.  Hope you can make it.  There is free parking at the legion too.

    Good Day Chez Fans!
    I thought I would come out of lurk mode and say thanks for all the codes, laughs and smiles.  Spring certainly is just around the corner, but no matter the season, Winter is beautiful.
    I am hoping to catch a day or two more on the slopes before I say good bye to the lovely white stuff.
    I’ll be watching for the Merivale DQ to open, cuz we do stop there a few times a season.

    @ Mark … thanks for the response.  I saw the announcement when I logged in to the contest page but is that it?  You also see announcements for the phone-in winners too but these are announced live the previous business day at 7:10 and 4:10 and require a call in within 20 minutes.  I’m wondering if the Sun draw is being run the same way.  I tried phoning Chez but their number seems to be set to a busy signal.
