   @ mornindude … you really are a morning dude!  To me, this is a late night.
   It looks like Doc & Woody will have some goofy challenge going on between 7 to 9 am this morning.  That’s one helluva commitment to get down to their headquarters at 7 am, especially if you depend on the bus (it sucks much more time out of peoples’ day than is really necessary … one fellow that called in yesterday had to forfeit his place as he had to attend a course this morning.  The next dude in line somehow accidentally hung-up.  The guy that qualified [and the lady before him] did not sound so enthusiastic to the idea of committing 2+ hours of a work-day starting at 7 am to this unknown challenge but they agreed … perhaps they were both unemployed).
   In any case it should be interesting if nothing else.  However, maybe us “Chez Nation Members” should complain of this abuse of members’ time.  Otherwise, this phase of the contest is biased towards those with nothing but lots of time on their hands!
   Geez … has anybody been able to phone in during this D&W call out?  The phone line is perpetually busy.  I think that the professionals with the hi-speed dialer machines (they do exist) have got us beat at the outset. If you have a regular phone, don’t even bother.   Sucks big-time!  Name call-out and legitimate random draws seem to the best way for the contest to be administered fairly.
   Agreeing and dissenting comments welcome.

   Good morning folks, if you have some free time I would strongly recommend you head over to Centrepointe and catch “Tom Sawyer” put on by the Orpheus Theatre Company. Very good production with some outstanding young people in the performance.  Have a good one.

    The D&W challenge contestants have to put together an IKEA furniture product (a DVD rack or something similar).  As a bonus, they get to keep the product afterward.

    @ Questions on MEET AND GREET: 

    It’s FRIDAY, March 19th. at the Vanier Legion, 294 Cyr Avenue in Vanier at 8:00 p.m.
    This is actually a GIG my husband’s band is having that took on a life of it’s own as a MEET and GREET.  Tickets at the door are $10.00 but anyone attending will receive a FREE CD, their first entitled @Time and Chance@.  There will be lots of door prizes too.  They will be playing all of the original songs on their first two CD’s, as well as alot of the oldies we all know and love (and maybe some we don’t like so much – hahaha).  Greg has posted all of the details under ICAL above under RADIOWALL as well as under UPCOMING EVENTS below.  Hope you can all make it, the more the merrier.  It is a great opportunity to meet all of the CHEZ 106 bloggers and bloggettes as well as lots of other people too.  @Mr. Red, you might even meet your future Mrs. Red.  Tables have been reserved for the CHEZ 106 gang right at the front.  I as well as the band  is looking forward to meeting you all.  Kids are welcome too, even you CrazyMike.  Hope to see you there.

    Hmmm…just heard unconfirmed reports of the death of 80′s child-star, Corey Haim.  For a time in the 80′s and early 90′s it seemed like every “Teen Comedy and/or Teen Angst” movie starred  him and his buddy, Cory Feldman

    Actor Corey Haim died this morning of an apparent overdose — possibly accidental — according to LAPD. He was 38.

    Police tell us they were called to St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, CA shortly before 4AM PT to investigate.

    Haim shot to fame in the 80s — when he co-starred in a number of films, including “The Lost Boys,” with Corey Feldman.

    I consider myself lucky for getting a key without having to compete in one of the D&W challenges. I wasn’t even going to enter the contest because I had been trying to win anything from Chez for years, so I had lost hope. My daughter convinced me to enter, and the next morning my name was the first one called out. Giddy Up!

    Air Canada learns that hockey trumps flying 
    VANCOUVER (Reuters) – Canada’s largest airline has learned it sometimes has to take a back seat to the country’s biggest sporting passion, ice hockey, the head of Air Canada said on Tuesday.
    The airline was forced to delay a flight from Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games because passengers watching the end of gold medal final on airport televisions ignored repeated calls to board.
