Good morning all. After yesterday I know who my friends are (or in this case aren’t) ar ar ar. Sadly am going to miss most of tonight’s game as I will be celebrating my daughter’s 20th Bday in Ottawa.

Two couples were playing poker one evening. Jim accidentally dropped some cards on the floor. When he bent down under the table to pick them up, he noticed Bob’s wife, Sandra, wasn’t wearing any underwear under her dress! Shocked by this, Jim upon trying to sit back up again, hit his head on the table and emerged red-faced.
Later, Jim went to the kitchen to get some refreshments. Bob’s wife followed and asked, “Did you see anything under there that you like?” Surprised by her boldness, Jim admitted that, well indeed he did. She said, “Well, you can have it but it will cost you $500.’
After taking a minute or two to assess the financial and moral costs of this offer, Jim confirms that he is interested. Sandra told him that since her husband Bob worked Friday afternoons and Jim didn’t, Jim should be at her house around 2 p.m. Friday afternoon.
When Friday rolled around, Jim showed up at Bob’s house at 2 p.m. sharp and after paying Sandra the agreed sum of $500 – they went to the bedroom and closed their transaction, as agreed. Jim quickly dressed and left.
As usual, Bob came home from work at 6 p.m. and upon arriving, asked his wife: “Did Jim come by the house this afternoon?”
With a lump in her throat Sandra answered “Why, yes, he did stop by for a few minutes this afternoon.” Her heart nearly skipped a beat when her husband curtly asked, “And did he give you $500?”
Sandra, using her best poker face, replied, “Well, yes, in fact he did give me $500.”
Bob, with a satisfied look on his face, surprised his wife by saying, “He came by the office this morning and borrowed $500 from me. He promised he’d stop by our house this afternoon on his way home and pay me back.”

Strange that there is no Sens banter going on the blog this evening. Oh I forgot the Leafs apparentlysuck - but if that is the case with the score 5-0 for Toronto, what does that say about the Sens right now?

Kudos to Elliott and Spezza for their play up to tonight and yes, the standings still confirm that the Laffs still suck!
@pharmerphil – The SENS fans are hurting big time!..There beloved team got schooled by the Toronto Maple Leafs, and that hurts them BIG time. It’s a tuff pill for them to swallow when there winning streak comes to an end, at the hands of the Maple Leafs, and they will continue to be forever bitter towards LEAF NATION, because they can’t beat BLUE & WHITE when it counts…One Example…SENS have never beat the LEAFS in the playoffs!

Well holy crap, they had to lose a game some time… if it wasn’t the leafs it would have been some other team. At least they won 11 in a row, I think that’s awesome!!! Not many teams have done that, not that I know of anyway. Then again, I don’t pay much attention to other teams. Even though I am from out west originally I still cheer for sens cause I live in Ottawa. GO SENS GO!!! Every team has awesome players on their team including the sens and every team has a bad game here and there and the rivalry between ottawa and toronto is stupid. I may be a sens fan but I have never ever put down another canadian team just because I think it is ridiculous. As far as I’m concerned the Stanley Cup belongs in Canada, hockey country!!! Whether it’s sens, or leafs, or canucks or flames or habs or oilers. Just my two cents worth…. not that it means anything. Don’t mean to piss anybody off.
@helping_sis – Kudos to you in stating the fact that the rivalry is ridiculos!..I hope Toyslover and steve-erino and crazymike..read your comment about “never put another Canadian team down”!..
Thank you, it is only my opinion but last I heard there was still free speech in Canada and so I had to finally put my “two cents” worth in because honestly there are more important things in life to worry about than whether the sens beat the leafs or the leafs beat the sens. They’re both canadian teams for pete sakes. Now I wonder how many canadian teams have canadian players on them…. LMAO!!!
@ Pharmerphil: Best wishes to your daughter. She shares a birthday with my neice. I am going to her party today and intend to eat lots and lots of cake.

The Poker Player
