   Good Morning Everyone:)

   For those who didn’t see the posts last evening on this blog today is the last day for the codes. Here is the message from Virgin.

   *** IMPORTANT MESSAGE ***

   Reward Members,

   As you know we’ve been encountering numerous technical problems with our rewards program, making it extremely difficult to provide you with a favorable user experience. Therefore we will be cancelling the rewards program until an alternate solution becomes available.

   Effective Wednesday August 19th Bonus Codes will no longer be available, however we will be doing one last big prize blow-out to give you the opportunity to spend your hard earned points!

   Raffle tickets will be available at a cost of 5000 points per ticket for one week beginning Wednesday August 19th and ending on the draw date of Wednesday August 26th at 5:00pm. Buy as many as you’d like in order to get your name into the draw for some great prizing including Autographed CD’s and books, Virgin Mobile cell phones, DVD’s, Xbox 360 games, Virgin Radio swag, iPods, etc.

   Remember -THIS WILL BE YOUR LAST CHANCE TO SPEND YOUR POINTS!

   @Mr. Red: Darren did leave it open for an alternative (Rock Rewards Virgin 2010 version).

   Been a blast, hopefully they can get the raffle up and running on time.

   It will be interesting to see how they do this raffle seeing they haven’t been able to get that part of the site running.

   Good Luck Everyone on your raffles.

   As for an alternate version I’m thinking it’s time to put these to bed. If you check out the other stations doing rewards it seems to be fading. Prizes are not great compared to what they used to be and buying from the online stores is just the same stuff over and over. Virgin should come up with something new and exciting that the other stations don’t have.

   @Dark Shadow:

   I hope to see Virgin RockRewards 2.0 soon. In fact I think we should all make a concerted effort to e-mail Darren AND Pete on a bi-weekly basis to remind them of our loyalty to their loyalty program and insist on its return by no later than the mid-January of 2010…..AT THE VERY LATEST!!!!

   BTW: Mini putt and the 100 pts for streaming the radio is still working and giving you points if you need to top yourself up to a 5,000 point value.

   I hope they keep the mini-putt up and running. Even if it’s only for fun and/or bragging rights. Even though I severely suck (my best score is in the high 20′s…the VERY high 20′s….well actually 30), it’s extremely fun and a great “time-killer”. :-)

   @Mr. Red: Given that Darren gets 270 emails a day, I think those emails are just going to be ignored. From my conversations with a few people at Virgin even there own website is archaic and difficult to use and change so my guess unless they do a complete overhaul of the websites we are not going to get an online rock rewards program.

   Maybe Virgin should fire their Tech Monkey(s) and head-hunt the RogersRadio Tech Monkey(s) because they obviously know what they’re doing. Failing that, call the Geek Squad…..or any 12yr-old boy

    @Jethro: Go into the MiniPutt and click on the listen on line and win 100 pts.

    I also tried the raffle and I am told: You have already received the max amount of entries for this prize.

    I fear this raffle thing isn’t going to work:(

    I have the same problem with the raffle, at least there is a chance to win alot of prizes.

    More website problems I hope they get this fixec.

    @Greg I think we should keep the virgin blog up until at least the raffle is finished.

    Thanks C.G. — I was trying to get the points by listening live on the main page — not the miniput page.
    FYI — I have sent an email to Darren Stevens regarding the problem with the Final Raffle. I will let you know once I hear back.

    It looks like you can only purchase one raffle ticket at a time so when they get it back up and running be prepared to spend a few minutes getting your raffle tickets.
