Wow – first blogger of the day, guess I don’t have to worry about stepping into something undesirable. Really pumped as our band has a gig in Mo’burg this (Sat) evening – 4 full sets. We will be performing our own version of “Cover of the Rolling Stone” for the first time tonite. If you get a chance check us out – we are “Celtic Sea”. Arrrrr
Ah crap, I forgot but I had a question. If you bid, draw or auction on a CHEZ prize, do they let you know by e-mail that you’ve won anything or not? How will you know if you forget to check the Web site? I might have won a prize draw from before and I never got any e-mail about it. Then how do you collect the prize if you have no printout??
Good Morning Peeps .
To those of you who doubted me, you missed a fun, although sparsely attended demolition derby last night at the Navan fairgrounds, NOT the Navan Fair.
.
It was put on by an organization called National Memorial Ridehttp://www.NationalMemorialRide.com who are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who raise $$$$ for the mental and physical aid of injured soldiers returning from Afghanistan, as well as remembering those who returned in a body bag.
.
A quote from their website: “…… This event is in honour of Canadian soldiers, sailors and airmen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country. The goal of this “not for profit” organization is to raise awareness and funds for Canadian Veterans organizations, and to assist them in their extremely worthy efforts. This will be the first of what is intended to be an annual event on behalf of our brothers and sisters, past and present, who have given All so we can be free.
.
…..this ride is a way for us to come together to show our country, as well as the families and friends of our fallen and wounded, the depth of our appreciation for their service and sacrifice. The Ride will include a parade of bikes to the Beechwood National Military Cemetery where a memorial service to our fallen will take place. After the service there will be entertainment and many events at the Navan Fairgrounds.”
