Good morning everyone!
Chez wild Honey, yesterday you mention the planet Mars who is supposed to be as big as the moon to the naked eye this summer…. Sorry this is a hoax (it is an old e-mail that has been making the rounds on the net for a couple of years now.) Mars is never bigger than about
1/72 th of the apparent diameter of our moon. I know it would have been cool.
Keep your eyes on the sky and happy stargazing!
Chucky
Toyslover | May 6th, 2009 at 8:01 am #
@Sunsetflame – was that you a while ago talking about piri-piri chicken? I bought a bottle of Memories of Portugal sauce and was wondering the best way to use it? I am thinking of chicken thighs (my favorite, nice and moist) on the BBQ and brushing the sauce on as I go.

I’m Stuck On Band-Aid Cause Band-Aid Cause Band-Aid’s Stuck On Me
Gord staggered home very late after another evening with his drinking buddy, Bob. He took off his shoes to avoid waking his wife, Marg. He tiptoed quietly toward the stairs leading to their upstairs bedroom, but misjudged the bottom step. As he caught himself by grabbing the banister, his body swung around and he landed heavily on his rump. A whiskey bottle in each back pocket broke and made the landing especiallypainful.
.
Managing not to yell, Gord sprang up, pulled down his pants, and looked in the hall mirror to see that his butt cheeks were cut and bleeding. He managed to quietly find a full box of Band-Aids and began putting a Band-Aid as best he could on each place he saw blood. He then hid the now almost empty box and shuffled and stumbled his way to bed. In the morning, Gord woke up with searing pain in his head and butt and Marg staring at him from across the room.
.
She said, “You were drunk again last night weren’t you Gord?”
.
Gord said, “Why’d you say such mean ting’s to me? I’m just tired by”.
.
Well,” Marg said, “it could be the open front door, it could be the broken glass at the bottom of the stairs, it could be the drops of blood trailing through the house, it could be your bloodshot eyes, but mostly… it’s all those Band-Aids stuck on the downstairs mirror.”

yesterday the rumour of a few woman that won a key was friends of a chez staff, Bob from chez email me and said no its not true cause staff can loze there job and that there is 65,000 chez members and dont listen to what 200 ppl say compared to the 65,000 other members.Those odds suck lol, thats why I never win anything lol..I was told by others that the source for that story is very strong cause they bragged about it at some bar one night while drinking. I will try to get to know who these woman are so we can all do something about that cause if it happens to be true, that means we all been screwed from winnings for years. I am hoping its just gossip but its really not hard to find out.Have great day and win win win

Hump Day Poem
The work week seems like it takes forever to end!
Time seems to go slower,
but the work just keeps piling up.
.
But there’s still hope left!
Think of it this way:
Monday is gone.
Tuesday is gone.
Wednesday will be over before you know it!
And the weekend is just a
hop, skip, and a jump away!
.
You’ll be over the hump in no time!
So hang in there. . .
and have a Happy Hump Day

Well behold 100 days into his presidency…..swine flu
Toyslover | May 6th, 2009 at 8:35 am #
@helene555 – I know two different people over at the CHUM stations, none at CHEZ. You think they helped me win a key by a at CHEZ? I doubt it. When you have 65,000 trying you still have better odds than 6/49. If I were you I would take the drunken ramblings of people in a bar with a few grains of salt.
The only thing I wonder is if they figure out who is blogging if they black listed from winning. Anyone with any data base skills could figure it out I’m sure.

@Toyslover: It was Devil who was talking about piri-piri chicken a while ago.

Thanks Angel.
DeVil – you out there?
Mr. Red | May 6th, 2009 at 8:52 am #
@Toyslover:
I Googled piri-piri chicken recipe and here is one of them, sounds good…..
Portuguese Piri Piri Chicken
SERVES 4
Ingrediants:
* 2 tablespoons grated fresh lemon rind
* 3 tablespoons lemon juice
* 10 cloves garlic, minced
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* 2 teaspoons hot pepper flakes
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 2 (1 kg) lbs chicken pieces
Directions
1.
In large glass bowl, combine all ingredients except chicken; mix well.
2
Add chicken, turning to coat.
3.
Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours, turning occasionally; can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours if you want to make it ahead.
4.
Reserving marinade, place chicken, skin side down, on a greased grill over medium heat; close lid and cook for 10 minutes.
5.
Turn and brush with marinade; cook for 30 to 40 minutes or until juices run clear when chicken is pierced.
6.
For a less spicy version, replace above marinade with Portuguese Paprika Marinade: 1/3 cup dry white wine, 1 tsp grated lemon rind, 3 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp tomato paste, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce, and 2 cloves of garlic, minced.

@Mr Punchy – I saw that line up of Sabbath in the early 80′s. Great concert. Alvin Lee opened for them, I thought he was better but sabbath still rocked.

so busy @ work I cannot blog these days…sigh…just reading your post now, still @ work … prob by the time u read this your supper will be long over but here’s what i do
I boil my chicken pieces first before they hit the BBQ, then just baste the pieces lightly with the piri sauce as they grill. It’s pretty hot stuff, you’d want a good, solid, well-chilled Trebbiano d’Abbruzzo to go with it!
